Theme: Connect. Influence. Change.

Content: By focusing on specific behaviors, it is possible to influence and motivate others to change. How? By utilizing your existing skill set and natural talent and combining these personal assets with practical new concepts that will create a cascade of change. Come learn the step-by-step strategies that influence mind change and recovery behaviors. Find out how to customize the change you seek by getting to the heart of the matter: Why people vigorously resist efforts to reshape their thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes and how you can become a positive agent of change.

Description: Behind the misbehavior, behind the anger, the frustration, and the pain that children with 'challenging behavior' often demonstrate is a profound need for
connection. Traditional methods of "managing" behavior do not work well with
these children, if they work at all. Traditional methods simply are not
powerful enough to help these children make an emotional "connection" with
significant adults, whose influence, notice and acceptance these children crave. Without a sense of connection, behavioral management techniques may fall short of the intended outcome. There are specific ways to change hearts, minds and behavior. Discover how to motivate people that are resistant to change. Come discover practical new ways of approaching difficult behaviors from a powerful, evidence-based approach.

This class has been designed for: Educators, Administrators, School Psychologists, Social Workers, Parents, including Foster and Adoptive Families, Nurse Practitioners, Daycare Owners and other helping professionals that deal with children, adolescents and even difficult co-workers.
